I'm excited to share that "Creatures of Curiosity" has been chosen for Photolucida's Critical Mass Top 50. I want to express my sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Photolucida and all the 200 jurors for their hard work and for acknowledging and supporting this series. It's truly an honor to be among such talented individuals. A special thanks goes to Douglas Ramirez for his ongoing support and encouragement and for being my sounding board for bouncing ideas. This series started in 2019 with my godmother's (My Aunt Rita) dishes and represents the legacy passed down through generations. It's a loving tribute to a woman I adored and ends with my personal collection of eclectic dishes of creatures. It's a perfect bookend to celebrate family and the cherished memories created while gathering around the table to enjoy a shared meal.

JP Terlizzi (American, b.1962) is a New York City metro based photographer whose contemporary practice explores themes of memory, relationship, and identity. His images are rooted in the personal and heavily influenced around the notion of home, legacy, and family. He is curious how the past relates and intersects with the present and how the present enlivens the past, shaping one’s identity.
