I am extremely proud to be invited to be part of 'Our Mothers, Ourselves: Legacies That Shape Us,' curated by Adrienne and Elen at the MIAD. The exhibition brings together 12 artists, each reflecting on how their mothers and maternal figures have shaped who they are. The exhibition runs until December 13, 2025. JP Terlizzi

JP Terlizzi (American, b.1962) is a New York City metro based photographer whose contemporary practice explores themes of memory, relationship, and identity. His images are rooted in the personal and heavily influenced around the notion of home, legacy, and family. He is curious how the past relates and intersects with the present and how the present enlivens the past, shaping one’s identity.
